Accident Report

We get an accident/injury report from daycare about every other week. Usually it's something about H running on the playground and falling, or climbing on something and crashing. Today's incident was humorous.

The text is likely too small to read here, but the Description of the Accident says:

'Hudson was sitting in the car (a playground car) and a friend wanted to get in the car but Hudson did not want to move. So the friend scratched Hudson on the face.'

So it's not cool that someone scratched H, but imagining the scene makes me laugh pretty hard. And Mike is on the hunt to ferret out the guilty 'friend'.

Future Fireman?

We went to eat at a local pizza joint (that I love and Mike only tolerates to appease me) and what was in the parking lot? A fire truck! The firemen were headed into the same place and saw us looking at the truck. They came over and gave Hudson the royal treatment.

Hudson got a 'Junior Firefighter' badge.

Worthy of note: We passed Hurricane's captain Rod Brind'Amour coming out of that same pizza joint as we were going in, so it can't be THAT bad.

The Cutest Child

If anyone was having doubts, these photos should confirm that H is the cutest, happiest child.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Yesterday Hudson was dedicated to a Christian way of life at our non-denominational and very awesome church. This church rocks - it's laid-back, they accept everyone and it is filled with young people and young families. There were about 10 babies dedicated, then about 100 adults were baptized by getting into the upper part of the heated baptismal pool (not all together, of course). It was a great day. I try to keep it light here, but yesterday again reminded me of how blessed my life is.

I was raised Catholic so being 'dedicated' is relatively new to me. The RC's baptize you as an infant. Here, the thinking is that H can make his own choice to be baptized when he gets old enough to choose for himself. Thanks to Vickie for snapping a few pictures.

Before the dedication there was an Easter egg 'hunt'. Hudson caught on pretty quickly that his eggs go in the paper bag... errrr I mean his easter basket (D'oh, we didn't get him a basket).

An Evening With Hudson: A Documentary

Mike was working late this week so I made a documentary: A Typical Evening With Hudson. After H went to bed I emailed Mike all the photos with commentary.

First he did his Risky Business impression while brushing his teeth with his toothbrush he had stashed in a drawer.

Note the shoe in the pot.

Next it was time to eat dinner and a little ice cream. Until he gave himself brain freeze and there were tears.

Then it was time to bother Ashley the Cat. But she was not interested in playing 'trains'.

Pajama and play time! This farmer works so much better on my head!

And it's even more fun to fling it over the side of the couch!

No worries, the farmer survived his fall.
