Many-Eyed Monster

Aunt Jenny, Uncle Andrew and Cousin Catie sent Hudson this crazy, many-eyed monster doll. He loves it!

These photos are from today - he is wearing a shirt that Vickie gave him - he got tons on complements on it when he got to school. Thanks Vic!

It's Peanut Butter Time!

Hudson is almost 1 year, which means we get the go-ahead for peanut butter. He's had it a few times already, but last night he really 'dug in' to it.

Snow Day!

We had a very rare snowfall in Raleigh last week. It's been 4 years since we've had any significant snow here. I am so disappointed that I missed it - everything was closed so Mike got to spend the day with the H-Bomb.

A view of the back yard:

A view of the deck off the master bedroom:

I also missed Hudson's first exposure to the snow. I guess it wasn't a hit because he is still crawling (I wouldn't want to crawl in snow either).

It didn't even start out well. Mike said he had a nuclear meltdown when he put the waterproof suit on that Granny sent him.

He was mildly interested in the snow. Yes, Maximillion has a fleece. If anyone is interested, it's from Chilly Dogs . Timber says, 'I don't need no stinkin' fleece!'.

Timber and H, pondering the wonders of snow.....

You knew it was only a matter of time....

And...... not a hit.

This next one makes me laugh. Mike said he was holding one knee up, then the other to get a break from the cold.

Baby Shoes

Overpriced and ridiculously unnecessary. But ridiculously cute.

A New Era

Congratulations to our new First Family. All politics aside, I can't wait to monitor the First Lady's fashion choices. She has yet to disappoint (except for that hideous red and black number from election night). She looked absolutely beautiful at last night's festivities. What a stunning couple!

In other news, I've been in Las Vegas since Monday and although this is NOT my favorite place unless I am here with Vickie or Penny and we're drinking mojitos on the Venetian Canal, the shopping redeems the town. Last night I bought some things on sale at Intermix (some Vince cashmere, an LNA tee), a sweet pair of Prada flats and the most beautiful Gucci bag. I am IN LOVE with it.

I miss Hudson like crazy, but Mike has been keeping me entertained with a steady stream of photos. I guess the snow in Raleigh was not a hit with little crawling hands and knees. I will post pics of that when I get home. Mike is headed to Houston today so Hudson will spend a few days with his grandparents (thank you!).

Poor Manners

Let's just call a spade a spade. Hudson has poor manners. Here is just a sampling of his rudeness.

He pulls clothing off shelves. He especially enjoys doing this in Mike's closet after everything has just been neatly folded.

He chug-a-lugs from his sippy.

He rips Kleenex from the box (waster!) and throws it about.

He eats directly from the package.

We can see who is teaching him this...

He unravels every single roll of toilet paper he can find.
The powder room:

The guest room (he was even able to steal the roll off this type of holder - bonus!):

His own bathroom:

Our bathroom:

'Dude, don't eat the toilet paper'.

I am blaming his father for all of this.

Pictures for Daddy

Mike is traveling, so here is some cuteness to tide him over. Taken during Hudson's dropoff at school.
