Where is my 'bump'?

Here I am, at almost 20 weeks. WHERE is the bump? I shouldn't complain because I am assured that the little one is in there, growing along as he should.  But I thought you were supposed to 'show' earlier the second time?  I drive Mike batty obsessing over it, saying ridiculous things like, 'Do you think something's wrong? Well? Do you?'.

For any of you pregnant fashionistas, I highly recommended these jeans. They are the Paige maternity skinny jeans in Blue Heights: http://tinyurl.com/PaigeMaternityJeans   I sized up one size from my pre-preg Paige size.  I also recommended the AG black skinny pant found at A Pea In The Pod. I've gotten tons of wear out of them and I bet I'll get to 30 weeks without a problem:  http://tinyurl.com/AGSkinnyPant

I still haven't needed maternity tops (clearly!) so I'm just wearing an old Trunk Ltd. graphic tee.

(Elizabeth, I know you are laughing because you recognize this is our office bathroom)

For reference, here I was at 20 weeks the last go around where I definately had more of a 'bump'. Not sure what is happening this time, but I'll take it.

Sunday at the Henderson Pool

We spent yesterday afternoon with my dearest and oldest friends, 'The Heathers', Heather C and Heather R and their families.  Thank you for the wonderful hospitality to Mom and Dad Henderson, as always.

There are six children between us now (in order of age); Joshua, Noah, Mackenzie, Hudson, Sophia, and the Benedict Unborn. We've come a long way from our days of dancing on the bar at the Raleigh Old Bar. The thing is, I'm not sure of the direction we've gone-  up or down.  Nah, this is way better.

Baby News!

Mike and I have news - we're expecting another BOY in January. I'm 19 weeks - almost half way through -  and up until today I've managed to conceal this from my office, and really most everyone else.  Now we're out of the closet.

What was I thinking? Two little boys less than two years apart. eeeep.

Cheesie Vacation Dinner

These photos demand their own post. The tears and running nose were from a few minutes before when I tried to take the Dinner of Cheesies from him. Mike and I decided that Cheesies were an appropriate dinner while on vacation, so he got them back (yes, we are weak to the tears).

Our Trip Back 'Home'

We were in Halifax, Nova Scotia last week for 7 days.  Here are just some of my favourite pictures.

Mike (the pack mule) bringing the luggage into the airport.

Hudson playing with his new plane in the airport.

At the Halifax Public Gardens. H ate the food we had brought for the ducks.

My Dad, Mike, H and my younger brother, Andrew.
We headed out of town and up to the family cottage, built by my parents in 1973.

His Granny gave him this pudding....

A box of old fisher price trucks, kept for 30 years.

The dinner of champions. Hudson is having cheesies, I am eating chocolate covered almonds.

Hudson and Catie Clover, being fed by Aunt Jenny.

What every man needs on his vacation: a lawn chair at the edge of a beachy cliff, his blackberry, Tim Horton's coffee and a box of timbits.

Lots going on

There is a lot going on these days and I have pictures of Hudson to post, but lately we've been focused on another baby - Maximillion. We found out last week that he had a few cancerous tumors that needed to be removed right away. He had surgery yesterday to have 4 tumors removed. His next step - chemotherapy. Anyone who loves a dog knows that you do whatever you can to keep them with you, even just for a little longer.

In happier news..... this morning Mike and I had to go somewhere together before work. There was a construction site next door so Mike took Hudson to see the trucks (he is VERY interested in trucks these days). The foreman was talking with him and said, 'Get an education. You don't want to do this for a living.'.

Animal Noises

His next stop will be Leno.

(as can be seen at the end, filming had to be cut short do to the 'personal business' of the leading man)

Noodlegate

In his hand: fur he had just ripped from the cat.

The Dreaded MMR

Hudson had his 18 month check up yesterday. He is right on track, measuring at that 75th percentile as he has since birth.

He had the famed MMR yesterday and so far he has not grown a second head or fifth appendage. He also got two boosters, so three shots in total, resulting in a rousing round of hysterics. I am not one to judge, as I hate needles even more than finding a hair in my dinner.

My sister Penny

I spent a long weekend in Edmonton, Alberta with my brother and sister (in law). We had a great time with beautiful weather.

Penny is definately the cutest thing in this picture, but her pink Balenciaga is running a close second.

She only has 5 weeks left!

For old times sake: Penny and me long before we had babies on the brain.
